We've returned from the 2026 Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show with hands full of discoveries and notebooks filled with stories.

For nearly a week, we walked miles through tents and expo halls, connected with miners who'd traveled from Madagascar and Brazil, and held stones still carrying the weight of the earth they came from. We found pieces that stopped us mid-step—a rutilated quartz with golden threads like captured sunlight, a cluster of tourmalines in shades we didn't know existed, specimens that will soon find their way into the gallery.

Tucson is where the world's gem and mineral community converge. Across the city, tens of thousands of collectors, researchers, and artisans sharing what they've unearthed. It's overwhelming and inspiring in equal measure—a reminder of why we do this work.

We're back now, unpacking both literally and mentally. Over the coming weeks, these finds will gradually join the collection—though a few have already found their home in the gallery, impossible to resist any longer. We're eager to share what we brought back, to see which pieces speak to you the way they spoke to us.
